A Site Manager (Aluminium & Glazing Works) is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising the installation of aluminium and glazing systems on construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Job Scope 1. Site Management & Supervision Oversee daily site operations for aluminium and glazing works. Supervise site supervisors, foremen, subcontractors, and workers. Ensure work progresses according to the construction schedule. Coordinate manpower, equipment, and material allocation. 2. Project Coordination Coordinate with the main contractor, consultants, architects, and clients. Attend site meetings and provide project updates. Resolve site issues and coordinate with relevant parties to avoid delays. Ensure interface works with other trades are properly managed. 3. Installation Management Supervise installation of: Aluminium curtain wall systems Windows and doors Shopfront glazing Glass façades Skylights Louvres and aluminium cladding Canopy and sunshade Ensure installations comply with approved shop drawings, specifications, and project requirements. 4. Quality Control Inspect completed works to ensure quality standards are met. Monitor workmanship and material quality. Rectify defects and coordinate corrective actions. Conduct inspections before consultant or client inspections. 5. Safety Management Enforce workplace safety regulations and company safety policies. Conduct toolbox meetings and safety briefings. Ensure workers use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Identify and mitigate site hazards. 6. Planning & Scheduling Prepare work schedules and installation sequences. Monitor project progress against milestones. Coordinate material deliveries to meet installation timelines. Report delays and propose recovery plans. 7. Material & Resource Management Monitor material deliveries and inventory. Ensure materials are stored properly to prevent damage. Coordinate with procurement for timely material supply. Manage equipment and tools on site. 8. Documentation & Reporting Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports. Maintain site records, inspection reports, and quality documentation. Record variations, delays, and site instructions. Submit progress claims and completion records where required. 9. Problem Solving Resolve technical and installation issues. Coordinate design clarifications with the engineering team. Handle site changes and unforeseen conditions. Manage defect rectification during handover and the defects liability period. Key Responsibilities Deliver aluminium and glazing works safely, on time, and within budget. Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and relevant standards. Maintain high-quality workmanship. Coordinate effectively with all project stakeholders. Lead and motivate site teams to achieve project objectives. Experience with commercial, residential, or high-rise construction projects.
