About this role

Key Accountabilities A key member of the SGX Singapore New Business Sales team, this position is responsible to drive SGX multi-asset class strategy and to manage the overall sales of SGX products and services to South Asia and Middle Eastern clients onshore and in the region. A primary purpose of the role is to promote secondary market activity in derivatives markets by way of direct institutional client engagement. The candidate will also need to work with relevant brokers and channel partners to facilitate participation from accredited investors. The individual is required to identify appropriate client strategies and execute sales campaigns. The individual is also required to identify, and secure suitable market-makers and active traders where required. Position Deliverables Express and apply a strong knowledge of SGX products (Derivatives and Securities), processes and rules. Meet new institutional, commodities clients and/or membership sales targets and milestone objectives. Maintain and build relationships with target institutional clients and members in the stated region. Maintain and build relationships with relevant industry associations and associated professionals (lawyers, regulators, exchange officials, inter-dealer brokers etc.) Identify and execute marketing and educational initiatives to educate and attract clients to participate in the SGX derivatives product set. Work with Product Managers to generate regular educational and marketing messages to promote the SGX product set (Derivatives & Securities) disseminate such messages to institutional clients in the stated region. Recommend client incentive schemes to incentivize trading while maximizing revenue and creating ideal market structure with price differentiation. Represent SGX professionally – both directly with clients in industry events. This will include identifying suitable events and forums at which to represent SGX. Make use of internal sales tools and processes to ensure alignment of corporate sales objectives and assist in maintenance and development of client depositories. Conduct sales and marketing activities in accordance with internal policies, as well as rules and regulations. Requirements Graduate Degree or equivalent industry qualification with a minimum of 12 years of work experience in the financial industry. Strong knowledge of Securities ,Equity Derivatives ,FICC products, industry standards, best practices, developments, client trends, product developments, and an extensive network of industry connections. Past work experience with South Asian and/or Middle Eastern institutional clients, asset managers, hedge funds will be an advantage. Must have demonstrated success in client acquisition and/or revenue enhancement in previous role. High energy, strong presence and excellent communication and presentation skills. Self-motivated, and comfortable with multi-tasking and working under time pressure Must be effective in English.
