Job Requirements We are seeking talented a Research Assistant at Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) with expertise in the following areas quantum error correction quantum noise characterization quantum control Candidates should have expertise in one or more of the following topics: Quantum error correction: Experience in QEC theory, design, simulation, and analysis of quantum error-correcting, and efficient decoding methods. Quantum noise characterization: Experience with quantum characterization, verification, and validation (QCVV) techniques, including gate set tomography, randomized benchmarking, and related protocols. Experience in correlated and non-Markovian noise, multi-time quantum processes, and process tensor methods. Quantum control: Experience with optimal control in the presence of complex noise environments and quantum error-mitigation protocols would be useful. Hands-on experience with quantum hardware, implementing noise characterization, control, or error-correction protocols on experimental quantum platforms is highly desirable. The candidate should have A degree in open quantum systems, quantum information theory, or similar Able to do literature review and summarize the main findings from the literature Competence in disseminating the outcomes of the research including in peer-reviewed academic publications of international standing Perform other tasks as required by the Principal Investigator Ability to support the research team The hired candidate will primarily work with Prof. Kavan Modi from SUTD.
