ob Summary We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Automation Engineer (Construction) to lead the design, implementation, and commissioning of building automation and control systems for commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring automation systems are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, industry standards, and client requirements. Key Responsibilities Lead the design, engineering, and implementation of building automation and industrial control systems for construction projects. Coordinate automation activities with project managers, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and clients. Review engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and construction documents for compliance and constructability. Supervise installation, testing, startup, commissioning, and system acceptance activities. Troubleshoot automation and control system issues during construction and post-installation. Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, electrical standards, health and safety regulations, and project quality requirements. Prepare technical reports, commissioning documentation, operation manuals, and as-built documentation. Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to junior engineers and site personnel. Support project scheduling, cost estimation, procurement, and risk management activities. Participate in client meetings, factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT), and project handovers. Employment Requirements Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. Minimum 2 years of experience in automation engineering supporting process construction projects. Strong understanding of electrical systems, instrumentation, control panels, and commissioning procedures. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, P&IDs, control narratives, and construction specifications. Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and project coordination skills. Willingness to travel to construction sites as required. Work Conditions Office and construction site environment. Occasional evening or weekend work during commissioning or project milestones.
