We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Senior Staff Nurse / Staff Nurse (Infection Prevention & Control) to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in safeguarding patients, staff, and visitors by driving infection prevention initiatives and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to plan, implement, and monitor infection control programmes, contributing to a safe and high-quality healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities Infection Prevention & Control Support the development, implementation, and review of infection prevention and control (IPC) policies and guidelines Identify and assess infection risks within the hospital environment Ensure timely communication of updates to IPC standards and regulations Infection Control Surveillance Assist in planning and delivering surveillance programmes Support epidemiological investigations and outbreak management Participate in contact tracing initiatives Audit & Compliance Conduct regular infection control audits and ensure adherence to IPC standards Promote compliance with infection control practices across all departments Education & Training Assist in planning and delivering IPC training programmes for staff, visitors, and the public Promote awareness of infection prevention practices across the organisation Quality Improvement & Research Contribute to IPC-related research and quality improvement initiatives Job Requirements Diploma or Degree in Nursing Recognised Post-basic or Advanced Diploma in Nursing Valid practising licence with the Singapore Nursing Board Valid Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification Certification in Infection Control is preferred, such as:Basic and Advanced Infection Control trainingCertification from recognised professional bodies (e.g. Certification Board of Infection Control (CBIC), USA)Membership with relevant professional associations (e.g. Infection Control Association (Singapore)) Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an acute care setting
