Steel Reinforcement Worker

Job Responsibilities Read and interpret reinforcement drawings, blueprints, and construction plans to guide rebar work Measure, cut, bend, and assemble steel reinforcement bars according to project specifications Install and secure reinforcing steel in concrete forms using wire ties, clips, and spacers to ensure structural integrity Position reinforcement cages, mesh, and bars to maintain proper concrete coverage Operate rebar cutting, bending, and tying equipment safely and efficiently on site Inspect reinforcement placement for compliance with engineering drawings and project standards Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and construction crews to complete tasks on schedule Load, unload, and transport reinforcement materials around the construction site safely Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work area to support efficient operations Follow workplace safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) consistently Identify and report defects, material shortages, or installation issues promptly to supervisors Assist with concrete preparation and other construction tasks as needed to support project progress Perform quality checks to ensure reinforcement meets project specifications and building codes Work effectively in physically demanding environments, including lifting heavy materials and working at heights when required Required competencies and certifications Minimum education: Primary/Secondary/"O" Level, Higher Secondary/College, Professional Certificate/Nitec in any field At least 1 year of working experience in a related field
