About The Role: SMITECH is seeking an Assistant Coordination Manager to support the planning, coordination, and delivery of M&E works for new and existing construction projects in Singapore. This project role is based on site on a 5.5-day work week and will work closely with the Project Manager, Coordination Manager, consultants, subcontractors, BIM/CAD team, site engineers, and project stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Assist the Coordination Manager in managing M&E coordination works across mechanical, electrical, ACMV, plumbing/sanitary, fire protection, ELV/ICA and related building services. Review project drawings, specifications, shop drawings, CSD/SEM drawings and BIM coordination outputs to identify clashes, discrepancies and constructability issues. Coordinate with consultants, main contractor, subcontractors, suppliers and internal project teams to resolve technical and site interface matters. Attend technical, coordination and site meetings; prepare action trackers and follow up on outstanding matters. Monitor drawing submissions, approvals, RFIs, material submissions and coordination deliverables to support site progress. Work with BIM/CAD teams to ensure latest approved drawings are issued to site and properly controlled. Conduct site coordination checks to ensure M&E installation works are aligned with approved drawings, specifications, programme and quality expectations. Assist in planning work sequences, testing and commissioning coordination, handover documents, as-built drawings and O&M documentation. Escalate project risks, design conflicts, delays and coordination gaps early to minimise impact on project delivery. Maintain proper documentation, reports and coordination records for project tracking and management review. Requirements: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Construction Management or related discipline. Preferably 5 years or more of relevant M&E coordination experience in Singapore construction, infrastructure or building services projects. Strong understanding of M&E systems, CSD/SEM coordination, shop drawings, BIM coordination and site installation sequence. Able to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and project documentation. Proficient in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud will be an advantage. Good coordination, problem-solving, documentation and stakeholder management skills. Able to work in a fast-paced project site environment and manage multiple coordination priorities. Practical experience in large-scale infrastructure, commercial, industrial, MRT/LTA, airport, water, utilities or similar M&E projects will be an advantage. Good communication skills and able to work closely with consultants, subcontractors, site teams and management.
