Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (Team Leader), you will oversee and guide a team of 10 design engineers in Marine engineering solutions. You will be responsible for managing project workflows and ensuring that all design activities meet standards and project deadline. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor and motivate a team of design engineers. Provide guidance on technical issues, project management, and career development. Project management : Define project scope, allocate tasks and monitor progress to ensure timely delivery and adherence to standards. Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to present complex ideas clearly to various stakeholders. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to address and resolve design and project-related challenges effectively. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of experience in design engineering and leadership or team management role. Proficiency in AUTOCAD and 3D SOLIDWORK. Strong understanding of engineering principles, hydraulic and electric system design and automated system design. The role will be based in Singapore and may involve occasional travel to client sites or manufacturing facilities.
