Junior Exhibit Engineer Technical Responsibilities: Possess a passionate interest in creating solutions that will realise or enhance interactive and immersive experiences. Support the design, development, fabrication, testing, installation, maintenance, and if necessary, decommissioning of interactive exhibits and visitor engagement solutions. Apply user-centric design principles to create engaging and intuitive exhibit experiences by translating creative concepts into practical solutions that enhance the visitor journey. Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including drawings, assembly instructions, bills of materials (BOM), diagrams, schematics, and maintenance manuals as necessary. Hands-on experience with CAD software and 3D printing technologies, and additionally be adept at basic workshop tools and fabrication methods, to aid in the development and testing of functional prototypes to validate concepts and technical solutions for exhibits and experiences. Keep abreast with advancements in application design and new technologies, as well as research emerging technologies, materials, and fabrication methods to support exhibit development and resolve technical design challenges. Be diligent in maintenance of critical tools and equipment. Evaluate, observe, and initiate improvements and preventive corrections on exhibits and solutions, as well as identify and suggest effective improvements on workflow and methods. Requirements: Fresh graduates with relevant academic projects or internship experience are encouraged to apply. Relevant academic projects or internship experience have merit. Diploma or Degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electronics and Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline. Preferred: 2-3 years of relevant experience in engineering or related field. Cross-discipline experience and knowledge is highly regarded. Knowledge of audio-visual (AV), programming, and fabrication will be an advantage. Produce accurate technical drawings and documentation using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Rhino3D, or equivalent). Skills: Understanding of relevant technical schematics, diagrams, and components. Experience with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or ESP-based platforms is preferred. Experience with Rhino3D, Autodesk Fusion, SolidWorks, AutoCAD is preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Meticulous, with good planning and coordination. Ability to perform under tight schedules and deadlines with minimum supervision. Motivated, keen to learn, hardworking and a good team player. Being pro-active and receptive to changes. Strong problem-solving mindset in troubleshooting.
