Position: Freelance Private Special Needs Educator (1-To-1) Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one academic instruction in primary and/or secondary subjects tailored to the individual needs of students with learning or special needs. Develop and implement customised lesson plans, using strategies that align with each student’s learning style, abilities, and goals. Support students in areas such as literacy, numeracy, language development, or subject-specific content, adjusting methods as needed to overcome challenges. Use specialised teaching techniques and resources to support students with conditions such as ADHD, dyslexia, autism spectrum disorders (ASD), or other learning difficulties. Track student progress and regularly assess performance, adapting teaching methods to ensure consistent improvement. Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, providing regular updates on the student’s academic progress and strategies for continued learning support at home. Collaborate with other professionals, including therapists or counsellors, to ensure a holistic approach to the student’s development. Create an engaging and encouraging learning environment that boosts confidence, motivation, and independence in students.
