About this role
The Associate Engineer (Facilities) will be responsible for the daily operations, maintenance, and reliable performance of critical building systems at SPH Print Centre. Perform daily facilities operations, planned maintenance, and troubleshooting of M&E (Mechanical and Electrical) systems. Conduct routine inspections and performance monitoring of critical M&E systems, including chillers, ACMV (Air Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation), cooling towers, pumps, and electrical distribution systems. Supervise and inspect maintenance work performed by external contractors on M&E, fire alarm, and other critical equipment to ensure strict compliance with safety, operational, and regulatory standards. Assist in project coordination for facility improvements, system upgrades, and equipment replacement projects. Job Requirements NITEC / Higher NITEC / Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services Engineering, preferably with 1-2 years of relevant experience in facility or industrial plant maintenance. Good foundational understanding of chiller plant operations, electrical distribution systems, and fire safety systems. Basic knowledge of PLC/SCADA, building automation, and control systems would be a distinct advantage. Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with internal departments and external vendors. Able to work rotating shifts including night shifts, and on weekends and public holidays Physically fit and prepared to work overtime, when necessary, particularly during critical maintenance or plant shutdown periods. On-the-job training and technical development opportunities will be provided for this role. Fresh Diploma graduates without prior working experience are welcome to apply.
