Asia Equity Portfolio Finance Trader

Position Overview: Manage Squarepoint's APAC equity financing — borrow rates, locates and inventory, and utilization across our prime brokers Deepen the dialogue with our prime broker partners across the region; negotiate commercial terms including outperformance rebates, pay-to-hold arrangements, and box structures Monitor recall quality and proactively manage borrow risk across the platform Provide color and structure around special situations and corporate actions impacting financing Partner with research teams to understand their strategies and unlock capacity to scale existing and new opportunities Build out reporting within the team to help scale our financing activity efficiently, and contribute to PnL and cost-allocation analysis Apply an understanding of FX dynamics and margin mechanics to optimize capital usage across the region Stay close to APAC market structure and regulatory developments, and translate them into actionable opportunities Required Qualifications: 3+ years of buy- or sell-side experience in Portfolio Finance, Delta One, Stock Loan, or a closely related role Sound grasp of financing, stock loan, and cash-management concepts Effective communicator and confident negotiator with third-party counterparties Technical fluency in Python (or a comparable language) for analysis and automation Mandarin language skills a plus
