Building Painter

Job Description & Requirements Responsibilities Prepare walls, ceilings, and other surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, removing old paint, and cleaning surfaces. Fill cracks, holes, and imperfections with suitable materials such as plaster or putty. Mix paints, coatings, and other materials to achieve the required colour, texture, and finish. Apply paint, varnish, and protective coatings using brushes, rollers, spray equipment, and other painting tools. Ensure all painting work is completed according to project specifications and quality standards. Inspect completed work and perform touch-ups when necessary. Calculate material requirements and assist in estimating project costs. Follow all workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations. Maintain painting tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition. Requirements Proven experience as a Painter in commercial, residential, or construction projects. Strong knowledge of painting materials, tools, techniques, and surface preparation methods. Ability to select, mix, and apply paints and coatings correctly. Good understanding of commercial and construction painting practices. Physically fit and able to work at heights when required. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Responsible, reliable, and detail oriented. Working Conditions Must be willing to work beyond regular working hours when required. Must be willing to work on Saturdays, Sundays, and Public Holidays when necessary. Must be willing to workday shifts, night shifts, and rotating shifts as assigned. Must comply with all company safety policies and procedures.
