About this role

Job Description · Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to students’ diverse needs. Use evidence-based, autism-friendly teaching strategies and assessments to track students’ progress · Collaborate on curriculum planning and development · Build positive relationships and support individualised education plans (IEPs/ITPs) · Manage behaviours and implement strategies to support students’ well-being · Maintain a safe and positive learning environment · Support co-curricular activities (CCAs) and school initiatives · Participate in work committees to achieve student outcomes · Work with families and external partners to support student development · Assist with transition planning for post-school success · Collaborate with allied professionals to development and implement support plans to support students’ learning and well-being · Maintain and update accurate records, reports and student progress data. When appropriate, provide guidance to junior staff on teaching and learning, and work processes and activities. Job Requirement · Recognised Polytechnic Diploma · Teaching qualifications or equivalent in Special Education will be an advantage · Experience in dealing with children and youths with autism will be an advantage
