About this role
Responsibilities: To prepare the Technical Specification, General Arrangement Plan (GAP) and Ship Equipment List (SEL) To provide specialist technical assessment and analysis other in-house departments and external parties To participate in tests and trials; including oversea FAT To plan and ensure that the work for his area of specialization is carried out as per schedule To follow up and resolve all the design issues on all design documents promptly and timely to support the schedule To check working drawings and ensure that they conform to contractual technical specification, installation control documents, Classification and Statutory Rules/Regulations To check and ensure equipment specification, technical information, functional description document, installation control document and interface design specification are correct and properly maintained, disseminate and use for the preparation of design work activities To update Department head on work progress/status and shortcomings on technical issues on projects under his charge To ensure the quality control in the design / drawing process To model equipment in 2D/3D in the respective room/location To participate/conduct in Harbour and Sea acceptance trials To ensure timely issue of drawings and documents To perform on site checking and to resolve issues at site with various stakeholders To keep abreast with current technological developments and products, Classification rules, military and industrial standards and other standards relevant to design activities Requirements: Degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering Relevant experience in Marine or Integration work will be advantageous Able to use AutoCAD for purpose of equipment modelling Keen interest in project management and coordination for integration projects Able to communicate with both internal and external stakeholders Only Singaporeans need apply Additional Information: Location: 16 Benoi Road (Island-wide transport provided) 5 days work week Working Hours: 7.25am to 5.00pm
