About this role

Job Overview: To overseethe day-to-day facilities, operations and environmental management of the preschool Primary Function Responsible to the VicePrincipal (Operations, Partnerships and Programme) (in consultation with thePrincipal) for the overall management of facilities, environmental sanitation,maintenance, and operational support in accordance with the school's policiesand procedures. Job Duties and responsibilities Develop,review and implement operational policies, standard operating procedures andworkflow improvements to enhance efficiency, compliance and service qualityacross the school. Ensurecompliance with ECDA, SCDF, BCA, NEA, Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) andother relevant statutory requirements. Maintainfacilities, maintenance and compliance records, ensuring documentation isaccurate, up to date and readily available for licensing, regulatoryinspections and internal audits. Overseethe maintenance, safety and operational readiness of all school facilities,equipment and infrastructure. Conductregular inspections and audits of the school premises to identify maintenance,safety and operational issues, and coordinate timely rectification. Coordinatemaintenance, repairs, renovations and improvement work with contractors,consultants and relevant stakeholders. Plan,allocate and monitor work schedules, priorities and workloads to ensure theefficient deployment of auxiliary staff and the effective day-to-day operationof the school. Coordinate,supervise and evaluate the performance of external contractors, cleaningcompanies, maintenance vendors and service providers to ensure contractualobligations and service standards are met. Managefacilities-related procurement, including sourcing quotations, coordinatingpurchases, monitoring inventory of operational supplies, and ensuringcompliance with the school's procurement procedures. Coordinateoperational and logistical support for school events, programmes andactivities, ensuring venues, equipment and facilities are prepared, operationaland restored after use. Serveas the primary operational liaison between the school and external contractors,consultants, landlords and relevant authorities on facilities-related matters. Performall other related duties as assigned by the Vice Principal (Operations,Partnerships and Programme) and/or the Principal. Requirements Diplomaor Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Operations Management or arelated discipline. Minimumof 3 years of relevant experience in facilities and/or operations management, preferablywithin an educational institution or similar environment. Goodknowledge of facilities management, building maintenance, workplace safety andrelevant statutory requirements Strongwritten and verbal communication skills in English. Proficientin Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Interpersonaland stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectivelywith staff, contractors, consultants and external agencies. Able to work independently, exercise sound judgement and take initiative inresolving operational issues. Physicallyfit and able to carry out site inspections and oversee facilities-relatedactivities where required.
