About the Role: The Guardianship Liaison plays a key support role in promoting the welfare, and enhancing the school experience, of Stamford American students living in Singapore without their parents. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing and evolving area of school practice, where innovation and collaboration are key to shaping meaningful support for students under guardianship. Success in this role relies on the ability to build strong, effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders with the goal of ensuring each student is safe, supported, and feels a sense of belonging. Position Requirements: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently with students, parents, and a wide range of school stakeholders. Strong collaboration skills and the ability to build effective relationships across diverse teams. Proactive and able to take initiative. Confident working both independently and as part of a team. Experience working with children (ideally ages 12–18) in an international or residential school context. Background in boarding, education, counseling, or safeguarding is advantageous. Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Skilled in managing sensitive or challenging conversations with care and professionalism. Sound knowledge of child safeguarding principles and practices. Proficient with technology, highly organized, and detail-oriented. Awareness of the challenges faced by students living without parents Proficiency in Mandarin is beneficial to support communication with members of the school community where necessary. Demonstrates Stamford Values: Courage, Ingenuity, Compassion, Integrity. Qualifications: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Education or equivalent is required. Preferred relevant experience in Boarding, Education, Counseling or Safeguarding.
