About this role
Key Responsibilities: - Guide and train the Technicians in Service Survey Department on marine calibration and automation, safety equipment inspection services. - Perform calibration / functional testing for test/measurement instruments and other equipment onboard vessel, including: ODME, OWS, Fixed Gas Sampling /Detection System Multi-gas Detector, Pressure/Temperature Gauge Calibration UTI, Tank Gauging, Other Automation Services - Resolving onboard malfunctions, rectification of safety systems/ instruments, repairs and supply where applicable - Produce Job Delivery Note upon job completion and issue calibration reports/certificates - Proper preparation and execution of work assigned, prompt liaison with vessel agencies, and ensure performance are met at all times - Assist our sales department with technical issues - Support Service and Survey Department with other business service scopes Our customer service scope includes following: Lifeboat, rescue boat, davit and release gear inspection and servicing Fire Fighting Equipment annual service and inspection Liferaft annual inspection Sample collection for Drug and Alcohol Test, Fresh water or drink water analysis Cargo crane/Provision crane/Accommodation ladder/Pilot ladder load test Flexible cargo hoses, piping lines pressure test Company Website: www.starshipcare.sg Requirements: GCE “O”/ NITEC in relevant fields and above Experience with calibration, trained on calibration of instruments and automated systems on board ships; similar role in a Marine or electrical background is a plus Meticulous & methodical approach to service jobs and reports generation Self-driven attitude to find solutions to problems A team player and able to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers Willingness to learn new skills and knowledge if no prior experience
