Associate / AVP – Equity Derivatives Operations StarX Capital Markets Pte. Ltd. holds a Capital Markets Services (CMS) License issued by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) since 2020. Along with its affiliates, StarX provides a wide range of services to institutional clients and corporates, including Foreign Exchange Intermediation, Asset Management, Futures Brokerage (licensed by the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission), and Private Equity Asset Management. As part of our business expansion, we are building a dedicated Equity Derivatives business franchise to serve institutional investors investing in China, Hong Kong and US equity markets. We are seeking a hands-on Associate / AVP – Equity Derivatives Operations to support the day-to-day operations of our growing Equity Derivatives platform. Trade Lifecycle Management Support the complete post-trade lifecycle of Equity Total Return Swaps (TRS), and other OTC Equity Derivatives , including trade booking, affirmation, amendments and lifecycle events. Verify trade economics, financing events, dividend adjustments and corporate actions to ensure timely and accurate processing. Work closely with Front Office and counterparties to resolve trade-related issues and operational exceptions. 2. Settlement & Operational Control Manage daily cash and securities settlement for Equity Derivatives transactions and monitor settlement status. Perform daily reconciliation of positions, cash balances and trade records, and investigate trade breaks or settlement discrepancies. Prepare operational reports and ensure timely completion of settlement, operational controls and exception management. 3. Client Account Setup & System Administration Set up new client accounts and maintain static data within the Trading System following successful client onboarding and KYC. Configure trading parameters, settlement instructions, product permissions and account settings in accordance with approved onboarding requirements. Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), account maintenance and system enhancements relating to Equity Derivatives operations. 4. Counterparty &Cross-Functional Support · Liaise with brokers, custodians, clearing agents and liquidity providers to facilitate efficient trade processing and settlement. · Coordinate closely with Front Office, Risk Management, Compliance and Operations teams to support daily business activities and new product implementation. · Provide cross-functional operational support across the Capital Markets business as required to ensure business continuity and operational efficiency. · 5. Process Improvement &Operational Readiness Participate in the rollout and operational readiness of the Equity Derivatives platform, including workflow design and operational process setup. Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through automation, process enhancement and system optimisation. Prepare and maintain operational procedures, control documentation and internal operating manuals. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics or a related discipline. 3–5 years of relevant experience in Middle Office, Trade Support, Settlement or Operations within securities firm, prime broker or capital markets institution. Experience supporting Equity Total Return Swaps (TRS), or other Equity Derivatives businesses is preferred. Strong understanding of trade lifecycle management, settlement processes, reconciliation and operational controls. Fluent in English. Mandarin is preferred. Eligible to work in Singapore.
