Quantity Surveyor

Position: Quantity Surveyor (QS) Job Description Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents for construction projects. Source, evaluate, and negotiate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors. Conduct quantity take-offs and measurements based on drawings and specifications. Prepare and submit progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts. Monitor project costs and ensure expenditures are within approved budgets. Review contracts, project documents, and procurement requirements. Coordinate with project managers, consultants, clients, and subcontractors on cost-related matters. Maintain accurate records of project costs, contracts, and supporting documents. Assist in project planning, budgeting, and cost control throughout the project lifecycle. Perform other quantity surveying and contract administration duties as assigned. Requirements Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Good knowledge of construction methods, materials, contracts, and cost management practices. Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Detail-oriented with good organizational and time management skills. Experience in quantity surveying, tendering, cost estimation, or contract administration will be an advantage. Candidates with relevant working experience will be given priority consideration.
