Technical Project Lead (Java / AWS)

We are looking for a Technical Project Lead to drive delivery of Java-based applications on AWS cloud platforms within a banking environment. This role combines project leadership and hands-on technical involvement, working closely with developers, architects, and infrastructure teams to deliver secure and scalable systems. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end delivery of application development and system integration projects Work with engineering teams on solution design, APIs, and cloud-based architecture (AWS) Manage project plans, timelines, risks, and dependencies Support system deployment, environment setup, and release coordination Coordinate across teams including developers, DevOps, infrastructure, and vendors Ensure applications meet security, compliance, and performance requirements Facilitate Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) Prepare project documentation, status reporting, and stakeholder updates Requirements Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field Experience in IT project delivery with exposure to application development Working knowledge of Java-based systems, AWS cloud platform, REST APIs and system integration, and SQL databases Familiarity with deployment processes, environments, and infrastructure setup Experience working in Agile or hybrid SDLC environments Ability to engage both technical teams and business stakeholders Good to Have Experience in banking or financial services systems Exposure to DevOps tools Understanding of security and regulatory requirements
