Senior Equipment Engineer (Implant)

The successful candidate is a strong contributor who partners closely with Process Integration, Equipment, Manufacturing, Quality, and Technology Development teams to drive tool qualification, process optimization, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. This role requires strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to deliver practical, sustainable solutions that support fab readiness and operational performance. Key Responsibilities Own implant equipment performance, process stability, and manufacturability in a high-volume production environment. Lead troubleshooting for process excursions, equipment drift, dose and energy issues, beam instability, contamination, and yield detractors. Support process tuning, recipe optimization, and equipment qualification for ion implantation processes. Drive root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve tool availability, process capability, product quality, and yield. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support technology transfer, tool readiness, and process ramp-up. Monitor and improve key equipment and process metrics using statistical process control (SPC), design of experiments (DOE), failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA), fault detection and control (FDC), and statistical data analysis. Work with equipment and maintenance teams to strengthen preventive maintenance, calibration, and tool performance standards. Develop, review, and maintain technical documentation including SOPs, BKMs, qualification reports, and process guidelines. Mentor junior engineers and technicians, and contribute to knowledge sharing across the organization. Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in ion implantation and semiconductor equipment. Support the start-up and relocation of implanter tools.
