Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor with a strong marine background to manage cost estimation, tendering, contract administration, and project cost control for marine projects. Key Responsibilities Prepare cost estimates, quotations, and tender submissions for marine projects. Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and contract requirements to ensure accurate pricing and compliance with project requirements. Obtain and evaluate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers to support project costing and procurement activities. Prepare cost breakdowns and Bills of Quantities (BOQ), where applicable. Administer contracts, including the preparation and evaluation of variation orders, progress claims, and final accounts. Monitor project progress and costs throughout the project lifecycle, maintain accurate cost records, and recommend cost control measures where necessary. Conduct site visits to assess ongoing work and ensure that costs are aligned with project scope. Liaise with project managers, engineers, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers on contractual and cost-related matters. Prepare periodic cost reports and provide commercial updates to support project execution. Ensure tendering, costing, and contract administration activities are carried out in accordance with project specifications, contractual requirements, company procedures, and established marine industry practices. Other relevant Quantity Surveyor duties as assigned Requirements Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related discipline. Minimum 2 – 4 years of relevant experience, preferably in the marine, shipbuilding, ship repair, offshore, or marine engineering industry. Good understanding of contract administration, project costing, and commercial practices within the marine industry. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Able to work independently and meet project deadlines.
