Software Lead At Jurong East, Up To $8,000 (Office Hours)

- 1-year Contract (renewable & convertible) - Up to $8,000 - Mon to Fri, 8.30am – 6pm (44-hour work week) - Jurong East Responsibilities: Lead and mentor a team of software engineers through the full software development lifecycle. Provide technical guidance, code reviews, and career development support to team members. Foster a collaborative, agile, and innovative team culture. Collaborate with software manager, aarchitect, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements and project scopes. Plan sprints, assign tasks, and ensure timely delivery of features and fixes. Monitor and report on progress, blockers, and risks. Contribute to architecture and system design decisions. Ensure software quality through testing, code reviews, and adherence to best practices. Identify opportunities to improve software performance, security, and scalability. Promote best practices in software development, including CI/CD, testing, documentation, and DevOps. Duration: 1-year Contract (renewable & convertible depending on performance) Working Hours: Mon to Fri, 8.30am – 6pm (44-hour work week) Salary: Up to $8,000 Location: Jurong East Requirements: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information System, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of software development experience with at least 2 years in a leadership or mentorship role. In-depth knowledge in micro services architecture, authentication, authorization. In-depth knowledge of web technologies including HTTP, XML/JSON, web security, authentication/authorization protocols Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, GitLab, Jenkins). Proven track record of in software design and development using Java/J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, Microservices, Hibernate, JPA, REST, JSON. Experience in middle ware technologies like Kafka, RabbitMQ. Strong understanding of software architecture, databases (SQL/NoSQL), REST APIs. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
