VP, Hris (1-Year Fixed Term Contract)

About the Role We are seeking an experienced HRIS Vice-President to join our team on a contract basis. You will play a key role supporting and managing our HR Information Systems, focusing on SuccessFactors alongside other technology solutions. This position covers both project participation and day-to-day support responsibilities, operating within an agile framework and aligned with SMBC’s values. Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain HRIS systems, primarily SuccessFactors, ensuring data accuracy and system integrity. Lead and contribute towards HRIS projects including business transformations, integrations, and process improvements through collaboration with cross-functional teams internationally. Work independently and as part of agile project teams to deliver high-quality outputs within set deadlines. Troubleshoot and resolve system issues promptly to minimize business disruption. Support HR stakeholders with reporting and data analysis to drive operational excellence. Ensure compliance with SMBC’s policies and values in system management and user support. Required Skills and Qualifications Proven experience with SuccessFactors Employee Central, Recruitment/SmartRecruiters and Onboarding would be a definite advantage. Strong analysis and sound judgment with the ability to leverage data insights to solve business issues. Demonstrated capability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Experience working within an agile project framework and delivering successful outcomes under pressure. Competence in organizational and stakeholder engagement across multiple geographies and cultures.
