Senior IT Engineer(Server,Storage&Backup,Data Protection)

As a Senior IT Engineer , you will be responsible for managing and ensuring the stability, availability, and performance of the organization’s enterprise IT infrastructure, with a focus on systems, storage, backup, and disaster recovery operations. Manage and support enterprise IT infrastructure, including Windows/Linux servers and virtualization platforms (VMware / Hyper-V) Administer, configure, and maintain storage environments (SAN / NAS), including provisioning, monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity management Manage enterprise backup solutions such as Veeam, Commvault, or Veritas NetBackup Monitor backup jobs, investigate and resolve failures, and perform regular restore testing and recovery validation to ensure data integrity Support disaster recovery (DR) operations, including replication setup, failover/failback execution, and periodic DR drills/testing Ensure adherence to defined RPO (Recovery Point Objective) and RTO (Recovery Time Objective) targets, as well as data protection and compliance standards Perform proactive infrastructure monitoring, system health checks, patch management, and preventive maintenance activities Participate in incident management, troubleshoot infrastructure issues, and ensure timely resolution with minimal business impact Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for major incidents and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) Coordinate with internal IT teams, vendors, and external clients for support, escalation handling, and project implementation Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation, operational runbooks, backup reports, and infrastructure records Support infrastructure optimization initiatives, including performance improvements, automation opportunities, and capacity planning Provide escalation support for complex technical issues beyond L2/L3 operational teams (Senior Engineer responsibility layer)
