Laboratory Assistant/Technician

Duties & Responsibilities Samples preparation and product testing to support fragrance projects and product development for all types of laundry care, cosmetics, personal care and Fine fragrance products. Monitor the application tests and evaluate its stability in terms of both olfactive and visual attributes, preparing reports for both internal departments and sales. Perform test (stability, pH and viscosities) and application of fragrance for evaluation. Participate in panel testing of fragranced products. Observe the durability of the samples and report on abnormality. Assist in formulating new bases, policies and procedures. Preparation of application and samples for sensory testing by Perfumer, CFG’s. Maintain and track stock level of laboratory equipment and supplies such as glass bottles, raw materials etc, for base formulation. Operate, maintain, calibrate and sterilize laboratory equipment and work areas. Systematic filing and maintenance of formulation and records. Regularly check and ensure raw materials are stored at correct temperature to ensure quality and safety. Ensure that bio-hazardous materials are disposed safely. Perform standard laboratory tests in according to prescribed procedures and recording of test result. Maintain and ensure a clean and safe laboratory environment and workplace. Qualification: Diploma in Chemical Process Technology or equivalent in years of similar experience. Able to read and write simple English. Strong math skills, ability to calculate and convert the metric units. Preferred 1 to 3 years of working experience in manufacturing, preferably in Fragrance Industry.
