Software Tester (Automation Testing)

About the Role We are partnering with a leading organisation in Singapore's financial sector to hire an experienced Software Tester to support the delivery of mission-critical enterprise applications. This role focuses on test automation , where you will design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks to improve software quality, testing efficiency, and release reliability. Working within an Agile environment, you will collaborate closely with software engineers, QA professionals, and business stakeholders to ensure high-quality applications are delivered through robust testing practices. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium, Cypress, and modern automation frameworks. Collaborate with software developers, QA engineers, and business stakeholders to understand functional requirements and define effective test strategies. Execute automated test suites to validate application functionality, identify defects, and ensure software quality across multiple environments. Enhance and maintain automation frameworks to improve test coverage, execution efficiency, scalability, and reliability. Analyse test execution results, investigate failures, and provide actionable insights to support defect resolution and continuous quality improvement. Participate in code reviews, contribute to automation standards, and promote testing best practices across the development team. Perform API testing using tools such as Postman, Swagger, or similar platforms. Support continuous integration and automated testing within CI/CD pipelines. Work closely with Agile development teams throughout sprint planning, development, testing, and release activities. Stay up to date with emerging automation tools, testing technologies, and industry best practices to continuously improve the software testing process. Requirements Essential Skills & Experience Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline. Preferably 5 years or more of experience in software testing with a strong focus on test automation. Hands-on experience developing and maintaining automated test scripts using Selenium and Cypress. Strong programming skills in JavaScript or Python. Good understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, test automation frameworks, and quality assurance best practices. Experience with web technologies including HTML and CSS. Experience performing API testing using Postman, Swagger, or similar API testing tools. Familiarity with version control systems such as Git. Experience working with Continuous Integration (CI) tools such as Jenkins. Basic knowledge of containerisation technologies such as Docker. Experience working within Agile or Scrum software development environments. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams. Self-driven with a passion for continuous learning and process improvement. Preferred Skills Candidates with experience in the following areas will have a strong advantage: Enterprise application testing within financial services, banking, government, or other highly regulated environments. Test framework design and automation strategy development. Continuous Testing and DevOps practices. CI/CD pipeline integration for automated testing. Cross-browser and cross-platform testing.
