About the Role We are partnering with a leading public sector organisation to hire an experienced Project Manager (Digital Governance) to drive governance excellence across enterprise digital products and technology initiatives. In this role, you will lead the development and implementation of digital governance frameworks while working closely with product teams, project managers, architects, engineers, security specialists, and business stakeholders to ensure digital initiatives comply with governance standards, enterprise architecture, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Digital Governance & Framework Development Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of digital governance frameworks, policies, standards, playbooks, templates, and best practices. Review and streamline governance processes to improve consistency, efficiency, and adoption across digital products and technology initiatives. Monitor emerging technologies, industry best practices, and public sector governance standards to ensure governance frameworks remain relevant and effective. Governance Integration & Advisory Partner with project managers, product owners, software engineers, solution architects, security teams, and business stakeholders to integrate governance requirements throughout the software delivery lifecycle. Provide governance advisory and practical guidance to project teams while balancing business objectives, technology requirements, and compliance obligations. Promote governance awareness through stakeholder engagement, knowledge sharing, and capability-building initiatives. Compliance & Risk Management Drive compliance with Digital Service Standards (DSS), IM8 Reform, enterprise governance policies, and organisational compliance requirements. Identify governance gaps, compliance risks, and operational issues while coordinating remediation activities and ensuring timely resolution. Support governance audits, compliance reviews, and risk management activities across digital initiatives. Governance Reviews & Project Readiness Review business cases, solution proposals, technical designs, architecture documentation, and project deliverables to ensure compliance with governance standards and enterprise architecture principles. Plan, facilitate, and manage governance review sessions, project checkpoints, and approval processes throughout the project lifecycle. Coordinate Go-Live Readiness Assessments covering governance compliance, testing readiness, operational readiness, security, and user experience. Reporting & Stakeholder Management Prepare governance dashboards, project reports, compliance metrics, risk registers, and executive management updates. Build strong relationships with business stakeholders, project teams, technology teams, vendors, and leadership to ensure successful governance adoption. Manage multiple governance initiatives while ensuring timely delivery, quality outcomes, and effective stakeholder communication. Requirements Essential Skills & Experience Minimum 7 years of experience in Project Management, Digital Governance, ICT Governance, PMO, Technology Delivery, or Digital Transformation. Proven experience managing ICT projects, governance programmes, or enterprise technology initiatives. Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders including business users, software engineers, architects, security teams, project managers, and vendors. Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile delivery methodologies, governance processes, compliance frameworks, audit requirements, and operational readiness. Strong knowledge of ICT governance principles, enterprise architecture concepts, cloud technologies, system integration, and operational support models. Experience reviewing technical documentation, solution designs, and project artefacts from governance and compliance perspectives. Excellent analytical, organisational, documentation, and problem-solving skills. Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, communication, and presentation skills.
