As the Section Head for Protection Systems, you will lead a team of engineers and specialists responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of critical power infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the Protection Systems team for HV and MV projects. Oversee the design, engineering, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of protection and control systems. Review and approve protection schemes, relay settings, and coordination studies. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company procedures. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers and technical staff. Support project execution, tender preparation, and technical evaluations. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability, safety, and operational efficiency. Manage project schedules, resources, budgets, and technical deliverables. Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. Proven experience in HV/MV protection systems, power system studies, and relay coordination. Strong knowledge of protection relays, substation automation, SCADA, and power system operations. Experience in testing and commissioning of protection and control systems. Prior leadership, supervisory, or team management experience is highly preferred. Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Professional Engineer (PE) certification or equivalent will be an advantage.
