Cloud Lead (AWS)

About the Role We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Engineering Lead to drive the architecture and delivery of one of our cloud platforms. This is a hands-on leadership role , where you will design secure, scalable, and cost-efficient AWS solutions while mentoring a team of talented engineers. You will champion Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices, lead automation initiatives, and act as the subject matter expert for AWS services and cloud technologies. Beyond technical leadership, you will build strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring alignment between business objectives and cloud capabilities. Lead adoption of cloud best practices, automation, and operational excellence. Team Leadership Mentor engineers and foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and DevOps excellence. Build technical capabilities within the team to meet evolving business needs. Customer Engagement Serve as a trusted technical advisor to internal stakeholders and external partners. Ensure alignment of cloud solutions with business objectives and expectations. Governance & Compliance Develop solutions that meet security, compliance, and governance requirements. Innovation & Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reliability, and scalability. Lead initiatives to optimize automation frameworks and deployment pipelines. Infrastructure as Code & Automation Drive IaC adoption using Terraform, Terraform Enterprise, GitLab CI/CD, and Ansible Automation Platform. Enhance automation frameworks using Lambda, Step Functions, SSM Documents, and scripting (Bash/PowerShell) to streamline operations. Qualities We Value 5+ years of cloud engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Proven ability to lead teams, mentor engineers, and manage complex cloud projects. Strong stakeholder management skills; able to communicate technical concepts clearly and manage expectations. Deep knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, Lambda, Step Functions, etc.); AWS certifications are a plus. Hands-on experience with Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, Ansible, and scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python). Familiarity with cloud security frameworks and compliance standards (CIS Benchmarks, AWS Foundational Security Best Practices). Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
