The Role We are looking for a Geography Specialist to cover maternity from 26 October 2026 – 29 June 2027 in the Senior School. The position is for a maternity cover with a specific focus on the delivery of Geography to Middle School students (Years 7, 8 and 9), with the possibility of also teaching IGCSE Geography. They are also required to contribute to pastoral care and the CCA programme. The role reports to Assistant Head of Faculty (Humanities – Geography). Key Responsibilities 1. Learning & Teaching Possess a deep and fluent knowledge of what makes a difference to student learning, in line with the Tanglin Ten. Ensure the thorough implementation of subject specifications, schemes of work, assessment policies and reporting procedures. Create opportunities for students to develop confidence in the subject through carefully planned and managed activities. Support a departmental and whole school culture of innovation that includes varied and exciting teaching approaches, technological integration and thoughtful evaluation of teaching and learning.
