The Technology Consultant is a high-ownership technology role that sits at the heart of the organisation’s digital infrastructure, systems delivery, and operational technology capability. This is a one-year fixed-term role (with a possibility of renewing contract), shaped by an important period of technology transformation as the organisation implements several new systems, making it an exceptional opportunity for a technologist who wants to make a tangible and lasting impact within a focused period of time. Reporting to and working closely with the Head of Technology, this role acts as a senior execution partner responsible for driving agreed technology priorities, maintaining delivery momentum, coordinating vendors and stakeholders, and ensuring that technology solutions are implemented, supported, and embedded effectively into day-to-day operations. The role requires someone able to operate with independence, practical judgement, and strong follow-through. During defined periods of Head of Technology absence, the role may provide day-to-day continuity across agreed technology workstreams, within established priorities, decision boundaries, and escalation arrangements. The role supports the delivery and continuous improvement of the organisation’s technology platforms and systems, spanning IT initiatives, vendor coordination, technical issue resolution, system enhancements, integrations, data flows, and operational readiness. It also brings a forward-looking perspective by identifying risks, dependencies, and improvement opportunities early, and by providing structured recommendations to support sound technology decisions. This is a role for someone who moves fluidly between technical investigation, solution design, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional execution. The ideal candidate will bring technical depth, delivery discipline, mature judgement, and stakeholder confidence, earning trust across the organisation by creating clarity, driving progress, and staying closely aligned with the Head of Technology on priorities, risks, and decisions. They should be comfortable working across technical detail, delivery execution, vendor coordination, and business stakeholder engagement. Assess delivery risks, technical constraints, integration dependencies, operational impacts, and service requirements throughout implementation. Track deliverables, timelines, issues, and risks across multiple technology workstreams, escalating blockers and recommending practical mitigation actions where required. Coordinate implementation activities from planning through deployment, post-go-live stabilisation, and transition into business-as-usual operations. Ensure new or enhanced technology solutions are properly handed over, documented, operationalised, and embedded into day-to-day operations.
