Boiler Attendant

Job Summary You will operate and maintain steam boilers to ensure continuous, safe steam supply for production, complying with safety regulations and optimizing operational efficiency. Responsibilities Operate boilers and manage feed water treatment with salt/chemical dosing to maintain safe steam generation Conduct regular inspections and test water samples to ensure boiler safety and efficient operation, recording results accurately Monitor steam pressure, temperature, and water levels to maintain stable steam supply for uninterrupted production Analyze and interpret steam operation data and boiler performance, reporting findings promptly to meet process and emission standards Perform field inspections of steam lines and related equipment to ensure safe operation and recommend process improvements or cost-saving measures Operate and maintain air compressors and utility supply systems to support production needs Apply innovative, analytical, and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and optimize boiler and steam system performance Ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety Act regulations in all boiler operations Carry out additional tasks as assigned by the department or site manager Required competencies and certifications Certified Licensed Boiler Attendant Class 1 or Steam Engineer 1 or 2 (mandatory for boiler operation) Minimum 5 years’ experience operating 15-ton capacity steam boilers Minimum GCE “N” / “O” level qualification or above Preferred competencies and qualifications Mechanical fitting skills, welding experience, and safety certificates are advantageous Willingness to work rotating shifts and weekends
