Job Description: Network Security Administrator Role Overview As a Network Security Administrator , you will be responsible for the daily administration, maintenance, and monitoring of our enterprise security i nfrastructure. Your primary focus will be safeguarding our network perimeter,managing security policies, and ensuring the health and compliance of our security systems. As our dedicated Fortinet specialist, you will oversee the configuration and optimization of our Fortinet ecosystem to protect our mission-critical data environments. What You Will Do In this role, you will: Fortinet Administration: Serve as the primary administrator for the Fortinet security stack, handling day-to-day configurations, policy updates, and firmware upgrades for FortiGate, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer. Access Control & Policies: Manage firewall rules, NAT policies, Web Filtering, Application Control, and Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) to ensure a strict and secure network posture. Secure Connectivity: Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot secure remote access solutions, including IPsec and SSL VPNs for employees and third-party vendors. Security Monitoring: Utilize FortiAnalyzer and other SIEM/monitoring tools to analyze security logs, detect anomalies, and proactively respond to potential security threats. Identity & Access Management: Administer user authentication protocols, integrating network access with services like RADIUS, TACACS+, or Active Directory. Incident Response: Act as the first line of defense for network security incidents, performing triage, containment, and initial remediation before escalating complex threats to L3 Engineers. Compliance & Auditing: Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments, maintaining precise documentation of firewall rules, changes, and network topologies. What You Will Bring The topcandidate will have the following skills: 3-5 years of hands-on experience dedicated to network security administration or firewall management. Expertise in Fortinet Technologies: Deep, daily operational knowledge of FortiGate firewalls, FortiManager centralized management, and FortiAnalyzer logging/reporting. Mandatory Certification: Must hold a valid Fortinet Certified Professional (FCP) - Network Security certification (formerly NSE 4 ) or at minimum a valid NSE 3 certification. Experts in Fortinet technology and hold either an NSC3 or NSC4 certification. Core Networking Knowledge: Solid understanding of essential network concepts, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing basics, and DNS/DHCP. Security Proficiency: Strong knowledge of VPN structures, ACLs, SSL inspection, and general cybersecurity best practices. Detail-Oriented Mindset: Exceptional skills in documentation, rule-base cleanup, and maintaining clean, well-commented firewall policies. Communication Skills: Fluent in English (written and spoken). Ability to clearly communicate security protocols and risks to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ideally You Have: A Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Secondary certifications such as Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Security+, or CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker). Experience administering security policies within hybrid cloud or Operational Technology (OT) environments.
