The Senior DevOps Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure and processes for building and deploying software, while also leading and mentoring a DevOps team, and driving continuous improvements in DevOps practices. He/She are held responsible for maintaining high availability of production and non-production work environment. He/She is liable for automating all the manual tasks for developing and deploying code and data to implement continuous deployment and continuous integration framework and identifies issues in the production phase and system and implements monitoring solutions to overcome those issues. He/She should involve in designing and developing scaling strategies, automation scripts, and solutions to implement, streamline, and execute the software. He/She will play a critical role in in guaranteeing the operational efficiency, stability, and availability of EIT application systems. He/She will work in a highly productive and collaborative team where your ideas will be listened to and put into action. Analyze Module specifications work with developers to coordinate the work, track the progress of the work 2. Translate business requirements into detailed DevOps solution designs. 3. Building and maintaining automation pipelines and workflows (via CI/CD solutions like Jenkins, Bamboo, etc.) 4. Prepare/Review changes to configurable items, which include hardware, software, documentation, etc. It covers configuration management planning, configuration identification, configuration controls & audits 5. Containerizing applications and managing container clusters and registries. Performing root cause analysis on defects and outages to prevent recurrences. 6. Lead the planning and execution of system upgrades, migrations, and maintenance activities, minimizing downtime and disruption to operations 7. Integrating and analyzing application performance metrics and logs using tools like Splunk, Nagios or Dynatrace 8. Handle incident management processes and tools, application monitoring metrics and tooling to generate reports and take corrective actions 9. Follow standards and best practices to bring operational efficiencies, stability and availability of the system 10. Use continuous delivery practices to evolve and support high-quality software, and bring value to end customers as early as possible while working in collaborative, value-driven teams to build innovative customer experiences for enterprise customers 11. Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships, breaking down barriers for the team and both planning at a higher level and getting into the detail to make things happen when needed. 12. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers. 13. Work with developers to Investigate all reported problems/errors & initiate amendments & testing so that the system can operate correctly & efficiently 14. Ensure DevOps practices comply with Telecom sector security guidelines Education and Qualifications: Degree in Computer Science 5-10 Years of experience in relevant area. Experience implementing applications solutions in AWS, Azure, Cloud or Private Cloud Experience in DevOps practices must possess ample knowledge and experience in system automation, deployment, and implementation. Experience in handling distributed data systems and container architecture. Examples: Elastisearch, Kubernetes, Cassandra, Hadoop, and others Experience working with application monitoring tools such as Prometheus or Grafana, understand the different metrics that go with it and can generate reports and take corrective actions.
