Field Application Engineer (Fae) - Semiconductor Industry

About the Role We are looking for a highly motivated and customer-focused Field Application Engineer (FAE) to join our growing Singapore team. Key Responsibilities Install, commission, qualify, and support semiconductor test and inspection systems at customer sites Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, equipment, and process-related issues to minimize production downtime Perform preventive maintenance, calibration, system verification, and failure analysis to ensure optimal equipment performance Work closely with customers' Process, Equipment, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams to deliver effective technical solutions Support semiconductor test platforms, including ICT, FCT, AOI, and other inspection and manufacturing systems Assist in system integration, equipment validation, and test fixture debugging activities Deliver customer training on equipment operation, maintenance, and best practices Prepare technical documentation, field service reports, and solution recommendations Collaborate with internal engineering and product teams to escalate complex technical issues and contribute to continuous product improvement Travel to customer sites within Singapore and occasionally overseas to provide technical support Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related engineering discipline Minimum 5–8 years of experience in semiconductor, electronics manufacturing, automation, industrial equipment, or technical support environments Experience in one or more of the following areas will be a strong advantage: Semiconductor Test Equipment (ATE, ICT, FCT) AOI and Optical Inspection Systems PCBA Manufacturing and Test Processes Automation, Instrumentation, or Industrial Equipment Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities with a hands-on engineering mindset Confident in working independently at customer sites while managing multiple priorities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with experience supporting customers in technical environments Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to thrive in fast-paced manufacturing environments Willingness to travel locally and occasionally overseas What We Offer Competitive salary package based on experience and technical expertise Performance bonus Medical and insurance coverage Transport allowance Comprehensive hands-on training in semiconductor test and inspection technologies Exposure to globally recognized semiconductor manufacturers and advanced production environments Opportunity to work on regional projects and collaborate with international customers Clear career progression into Senior FAE, Applications Engineering, Product Engineering, or Technical Management roles A collaborative, engineering-driven culture that values innovation, continuous learning, and technical excellence Why Join Us?
