Role Overview We are looking for an experienced and proactive Senior Accounts Executive to oversee the day-to-day finance operations of our growing General Insurance brokerage. This role is suited for someone with strong accounting knowledge who enjoys taking ownership, ensuring financial accuracy, and driving efficient finance processes. You will work closely with Management and the Finance Manager to support business operations, provide timely financial information, and contribute to the company's continued growth. Key Responsibilities Financial Operations Manage the full set of accounts, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL) Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and month-end adjustments Perform monthly bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations Monitor cash flow and ensure timely payments and collections Maintain accurate accounting records in accordance with company policies Financial Reporting Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports Support month-end and year-end closing activities Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Prepare financial schedules and reports required by Management Ensure timely submission of statutory and regulatory reports where applicable Credit Control & Compliance Oversee credit control and outstanding receivables Monitor insurer, client, and commission reconciliations Liaise with auditors, tax agents, banks, and external stakeholders Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies Maintain proper documentation and audit-ready records Process Improvement & Leadership Review and improve finance processes for greater efficiency and accuracy Assist in implementing finance systems and workflow improvements Support and mentor junior finance team members Collaborate with different departments to improve operational effectiveness Undertake ad-hoc finance and business projects as assigned Requirements Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline Minimum 4-5 years of relevant accounting experience Experience handling full set of accounts independently Knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and accounting principles Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills Meticulous, responsible, and able to meet deadlines Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Experience in the insurance or financial services industry is an advantage What We Offer Opportunity to play a key role in a growing organisation Exposure to the insurance brokerage and financial services industry A collaborative and supportive work environment Opportunities to lead projects and improve finance processes Professional development and career progression The opportunity to grow into an Assistant Finance Manager, Finance Manager, and eventually Finance Director role as the company expands
