Gl Lead (Shared Services)

We are currently working with a large consumer services organisation to recruit a GL Lead within their Shared Services team. This role offers ownership of the General Ledger function, along with involvement in broader finance transformation projects. Job Responsibilities Serve as the primary owner of the GL and maintaining compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax obligations, including validation of indirect tax and withholding tax reporting Drive the full financial close cycle and strengthen financial controls and audit readiness across GL and R2R, while driving process improvement and automation Uphold the integrity of the balance sheet through robust reconciliation oversight and prompt clearance of discrepancies Enable accurate, reliable management, statutory and audit reporting Qualifications Degree in Accountancy with CA/CPA qualifications Minimum 10 years' experience in financial reporting, ideally within Shared Services environment Deep knowledge of close and reporting, GL/balance sheet governance, fixed assets, and tax principles (GST/WHT or equivalent) Proven people leadership and stakeholder management experience Please email your cv directly to sindhu@theedgepartnership.com in word format.
