Senior Civil & Structural Engineer HQ at Changi Business Park [ Expo MRT ] Work both in the office and at project sites Mon to Fri, from 8.30am to 5.15pm Salary is $5,000 - $6,500 + Variable Bonus [ No AWS ] Job Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Building Construction Management, or a related field. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in building construction, with substantial experience working for A1 Main Contractors Experience managing large-scale commercial or industrial projects is a plus. Key Responsibilities Lead the planning, execution, and management of construction projects from initial stages through to completion, ensuring alignment with project objectives. Collaborate closely with the Project Manager to develop detailed project schedules, track progress, and implement corrective actions to meet deadlines. Work with architects and engineers to review construction plans, ensuring designs are feasible and compliant with regulatory requirements. Conduct thorough feasibility studies and risk assessments to proactively identify potential challenges and provide innovative solutions as needed. Ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications through regular site inspections, monitoring construction activities, and addressing any non-compliance issues. Supervise day-to-day construction operations, ensuring on-time completion and adherence to budget constraints while maintaining exceptional quality and safety standards. Develop and enforce comprehensive site safety plans and protocols, working in tandem with safety personnel to foster a culture of safety within project teams. Monitor and analyse project expenditure, assisting in the preparation of budget forecasts to ensure financial objectives are met.
