Finance Assistant Manager [1028]

Job Description We are looking for a candidate to support the Finance Manager in overseeing the company's daily finance operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full spectrum of finance functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with internal controls, and supporting business operations. Key Responsibilities * Manage the full spectrum of finance operations, including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger (GL), bank reconciliations, costing, and financial analysis. * Review and verify Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance. * Perform monthly financial closing, including preparation of journal entries, management accounts, bank reconciliations, AR and AP ageing reports, audit schedules, and intercompany schedules. * Coordinate intercompany reconciliations and ensure timely monthly confirmations. * Prepare and submit accurate monthly management reports within the required timeline. * Manage treasury functions, including weekly cash flow planning and monitoring. * Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and ensure proper asset recording. * Prepare inventory reports and coordinate monthly and annual stock takes. * Prepare and submit quarterly GST returns in accordance with regulatory requirements. * Liaise with external auditors and respond to audit queries during statutory audits. * Ensure compliance with finance policies, accounting standards, and internal control procedures. * Support the implementation of new finance processes and accounting systems to improve operational efficiency. * Assist the Finance Manager with day-to-day finance operations and ad hoc finance projects. * Perform any other duties assigned by management from time to time.
