Assistant Executive / Executive (Motor Uw & Bd)

Responsibilities: Team 1 Underwriter A will be given a panel of intermediaries, including Financial Advisors, and will assist the Team 2 Lead Underwriter. The principal accountabilities are as below: Underwrite new A&H business in accordance with the underwriting guidelines and objectives; Liaising, advising and servicing (Including rapport building) intermediaries/insureds on A&H insurance matters; Reviewing renewal policies with claims record; Monitor and review own portfolio to ensure profitable growth in line with company targets; Provide guidance and coaching to junior underwritiers and adminstrative assistants; Provide support to Team Lead Underwriter and other underwriters as required; Any other responsibilities as assigned by Team Lead Underwriter and/or Department Head. Requirements: At least 2 years of underwriting experience in A&H insurance; Complete MAS-required qualifications to provide advice on insurance matters; Good technical knowledge of A&H underwriting factors; Good communication skill, tact and patience needed in handling clients for this very competitive class of business; Able to multi-task, and is a team player, conscientious, tactful and willing to learn new skills; Able to work independently and interact with different levels of customers.
