About this role
You will support the design team in creating physical experiences that translate complex ideas into spatial stories. This is a hands-on role where you will learn how to guide visitor movement, interaction, and understanding through thoughtful environmental design. Key Responsibilities Concept Support: Assist in researching and developing exhibition themes based on project briefs and audience demographics. Visual Communication: Help produce mood boards, 3D models, and sketches to communicate design intent to the team. Technical Assistance: Support the preparation of floor plans, zoning diagrams, and basic technical drawings for fabrication. Collaboration: Work alongside content, graphic, and UX designers to ensure the narrative is consistent across all touchpoints. Prototyping: Assist in the development of interactive displays and engagement "moments" within the exhibition space. Production Prep: Help manage asset lists, material samples, and design revisions during the production phase. Site Support: Attend site visits and assist the senior team during the installation and build-out process. Requirements Education: Current student or recent graduate in Exhibition Design, Interior Design, Architecture, or a related spatial field. Portfolio: A portfolio that demonstrates spatial thinking , creativity, and a basic understanding of how people move through a space. Software Skills: Familiarity with tools such as SketchUp, Rhino, or AutoCAD , and proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). Curiosity: A strong desire to learn about materials, fabrication techniques, and the "behind-the-scenes" of museum or trade show builds. Communication: Ability to clearly explain your ideas and take constructive feedback during the design process. Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a "no task is too small" attitude.
