It serves Financial, Transportation, and Government sectors across APAC. Job Summary You will design, implement, administer, and monitor databases to ensure efficient and secure operations. You will manage incidents and requests within SLAs, collaborate with development teams, and work with vendors to resolve database issues proactively. Responsibilities Design, implement, document, administer, and monitor databases to ensure efficient and secure database operations Own, track, and resolve database-related incidents and requests within Service Level Agreements (SLAs) Review daily service-related reports such as database backups, maintenance, and monitoring to ensure system health Respond promptly to database alerts and collaborate with vendors and stakeholders to resolve issues Manage and resolve database issues in alignment with SLAs, escalating unresolved problems proactively Maintain clear communication with development teams to update on request statuses and changes Initiate and perform changes on Non-Production systems to support development and testing activities Implement operational automation using scripts and shell scripting to improve database management efficiency Write and implement Stored Procedures, PL/SQL, and SQL to support database functionality and performance Required competencies and certifications Minimum 5 years of experience in Database Administration Experience administering DB2 (version 10 onwards), Oracle Server (version 11 onwards), and PostgreSQL (version 14 onwards) databases Experience troubleshooting and resolving database problems to maintain system stability Experience in Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO) using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools, including index management and statistics Experience with backups, restores, and recovery models to ensure data integrity and availability Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for DB2, Oracle Server, and PostgreSQL Experience working with Windows, AIX, Linux, and Solaris server environments Preferred competencies and qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as engineering, data communications, or computer science Knowledge or experience with SQL Database servers and MySQL Experience in data modeling, including performing, managing, and validating Data Model creation using ERWIN or equivalent tools Experience with cloud database computing environments Other Information Responsibilities include occasional work during evenings and weekends
