About this role

Job Responsibilities • Traveling to shipyard/docking area where the vessel is located. • Testing the performance of marine engines and electrical systems. • Carrying out overhaul/troubleshooting of main engines and generators. • Completing service records and repair documents; maintains paper work documentation of work performed in a complete and timely manner including timesheet, service reports, parts returns and other repair related reports deemed necessary. • Ensure all repair procedures are carried out according to the service manual instructions. • Ensure service jobs are completed efficiently within the standard job hour guidelines. • Ensure work areas are kept clean and tidy at all times, maintaining good housekeeping • To perform in-house and on-site calibration. Requirements • Certificates, diploma or equivalent qualification. • Proven work experience as a marine mechanic. • Ability to work in engine room onboard vessel. • Ability to work offshore. • Abide by all safety standard and practices while working in the workshop and field/site at all times. • Communicate well technically and efficiently to all levels of service staff and customers.
