Afc-Sanctions Policy, Advisory & Training (Grit Trainee)

Description: This position in the -Sanctions Policy, Advisory & Training sits within Group Compliance (Anti-Financial Crime), which is responsible for developing and maintaining the Group’s Sanctions compliance framework, including policies, procedures, and governance practices aligned with regulatory expectations and international best practices. In this role, the trainee will receive structured guidance and hands-on exposure on handling of transaction screening alerts. A Transaction Screening Analyst is responsible for reviewing and monitoring financial transactions to detect and prevent financial crimes such as money laundering, fraud, and sanctions violations. The role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies by investigating alerts generated from transaction monitoring and sanctions screening systems. Screen transactions, customers, and counterparties against sanctions lists (e.g., OFAC, UN, EU). Analyze potential matches (“hits”) and determine true vs. false positives.
