SAP Abap Consultant

Our client is a well‑established and reputable hospital group in the region, recognised for delivering high‑quality patient care and advancing healthcare innovation. As part of their ongoing digital transformation, they are strengthening their SAP capabilities and seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Consultant to join their in‑house technology team and contribute to enterprise‑wide data migration initiatives . Responsibilities Develop, enhance, and maintain SAP ABAP programs, including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflows (RICEFW). Collaborate with functional teams to define data mapping, cleansing, and validation rules to improve data accuracy and consistency. Design and develop SAP data‑extraction ABAP programs to support migration and reporting requirements. Conduct test runs, reconciliations, and data validation to ensure the integrity and completeness of migrated data. Provide post‑migration support, troubleshoot issues, and resolve data‑related defects. Perform debugging, performance tuning, and optimisation of existing ABAP programs. Ensure adherence to internal development standards, documentation practices, and quality assurance processes. Work closely with cross‑functional teams to support digital transformation and process‑improvement initiatives. Requirements Minimum 4-5 years of hands‑on experience in SAP ABAP development , preferably with strong data‑migration experience. Strong proficiency in RICEFW objects and ABAP OO. Experience with data‑migration tools and techniques (e.g., BDC, LSMW, IDocs, BAPIs). Familiarity with SAP enhancement frameworks (User Exits, BAdIs, Enhancement Points). Experience with SmartForms, SAPScripts, or Adobe Forms. Exposure to SAP modules such as MM, SD, FI/CO, PM, HCM and IS-H is advantageous. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and debugging skills. Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with business and technical teams. Experience in healthcare environments is a plus.
