Conservator (Artefacts/Paintings)

Job Responsibilities Examine and assess the condition of artefacts and paintings. Carry out conservation treatments to preserve and repair artefacts. Take photographs and prepare conservation reports with treatment details. Monitor and record environmental conditions such as temperature, humidity, and light. Prepare artefacts for fumigation or freezing treatments. Frame and mount paintings and other artefacts. Requirements Degree inconservation with at least 8 years of work experience in the conservationfield; or Conservator without degree in conservation possesses at least 14 years of qualified work experience in conservation. Work experience in a museum/institutional environment would be preferred.
