Workplace Safety And Health Officer Cum Environmental Control Officer

✓ Accountable to the occupier for providing updates on Operational Safety & Health (OHS) regulations pertaining to the Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) Act. ✓ Accountable for implementing, executing and monitoring of WSH management system. ✓ Accountable for implementation of Risk Management. ✓ Accountable for investigating, analyzing and determining cause of any incident, accident or dangerous occurrence during work process and recommends means of preventing recurrence. ✓ Accountable for timely submission of accident/incident report to company. ✓ Ensures proper upkeep of documents relevant to WSH. ✓ Monitors OHS control measures by conducting regular audits and on-site inspections. ✓ Liaises with Consultants and enforcement agencies on WSH issues. ✓ Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and statutory requirements. ✓ Implement and monitor the site's Environmental Management Plan (EMP). ✓ Conduct regular environmental inspections and audits. ✓ Monitor environmental aspects such as noise, dust, vibration, waste management, water pollution, and air quality. ✓ Investigate environmental incidents, complaints, and non-conformances, and recommend corrective actions. ✓ Maintain environmental records, reports, permits, and documentation. ✓ Conduct environmental awareness training and toolbox meetings for workers. ✓ Liaise with regulatory authorities, consultants, clients, and subcontractors on environmental matters. ✓ Ensure proper waste segregation, storage, and disposal practices are followed. ✓ Monitor erosion and sediment control measures where applicable. ✓ Prepare and submit environmental reports as required by the client or authorities. ✓ Promote environmental sustainability and best practices on site.
