Verian is looking for an Analyst to join our Policy Development & Evaluation team. Responsibilities: Client servicing: Support the team in understanding of client contexts, decision environments, and policy challenges. Contribute to client discussions, project meetings, workshops, and presentations through preparation of materials, note-taking, and follow-up actions. End-to-end project coordination: Support day-to-day project delivery, including tracking timelines, coordinating fieldwork, managing project documents, arranging meetings, and helping ensure that deliverables are prepared accurately and on time. Literature reviews: Source for and synthesise evidence from secondary sources (e.g. academic literature, published reports, published data) to offer clear and concise summaries of existing research and inform research questions/ gaps. Be able to identify reliable versus unreliable sources to ensure that references are high quality. Policy Research & Evaluation Design: Support the development of research frameworks, theory of change, evaluation design, research instruments, and analytical plans under the guidance of senior team members. Mixed-methods Research: Support in the planning and conduct of qualitative and quantitative research. Impact Evaluation & Analytical Methods: Support evaluation projects by helping to develop indicators, prepare datasets, conduct basic analysis, review evidence, and document findings. Learn to apply more advanced evaluation approaches where relevant and appropriate. Facilitation & Stakeholder Engagement: Support the design, organisation and conduct of engagements such as interviews, focus groups and workshops. Assist with discussion guides, logistics, moderation support, documentation, and synthesis of stakeholder inputs. Craft evidence-driven narratives for reports: Help connect evidence and data sources to prepare clear, concise, and impactful reports, presentations, and workshop materials. Support the translation of findings into practical implications and recommendations. Capability-building and proposal-writing: Support the preparation of capability-building materials, proposals, credentials, case studies, and thought pieces that strengthen Verian’s reputation in policy development, evaluation, and applied social research. Key Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree/ Master’s Degree, preferably in Psychology, Economics, Sociology, Public Policy, Political Science, or any other related disciplines. Prior experience in quantitative data analysis of individual-level data, using R, Python or SPSS. Knowledge of impact measurement (e.g., programme outcome frameworks, logic models/ theories of change) and/ or impact evaluation techniques (e.g., difference-in-differences, propensity score matching). Strong knowledge and interest in policy issues with experience in applied research to solve in real-world challenges. Have excellent verbal and written communication skills – and be interested in honing them further. Organised, meticulous, able to multi-task, respond quickly and work at pace when required.
